We are pleased to welcome Pastor Joseph Piresson and his family.
Since the beginning of November 2014, we have been enjoying our new pastor's sermons and getting to know him and his family. Pastor Piresson is joined by his wife Fatima, his daughter Ambrosee and his son Joseph.
Pastor Joseph Piresson was born in Brazil and is the oldest of five children. He became a Seventh-day Adventist at the age of 14 and by the age of 21 had already been Pathfinder counselor, Youth, Sabbath School, and Evangelism director. In order to pay for his schooling from academy through college he did literature evangelism. God blessed his work and he became a successful literature evangelist. So at the age of 24 he was invited by the Columbia Union Conference in the US to do literature evangelism in New Bedford, MA. It was on his first day in the US that he met Fatima, now his wife of 20 years.
Pastor Piresson is a graduate from Atlantic Union College with a double major, Theology and Spanish, and a Minor in Education. He also earned an M.Div. degree from Andrews University. In 2010 and 2011 he took graduate classes in Archaeology at Southern Adventist University and at the Hebrew University In Jerusalem. And he was also able to participate as a member of the Archaeological team doing excavations during the seasons of 2010 and 2011 in Khirbet Qeiyafa, a fortified settlement resting atop a hill overlooking the Elah Valley of the Judean Shephelah in south-central Israel.
